Policy Report Recommendations
Policy and Action for Cancer Prevention features recommendations aimed at nine groups of actors. These are policy-makers and decision-takers at all levels, from global agencies, and national governments to local communities.

Multinational bodies
Aim: Originate and promote coordinated strategies that protect public health through food, nutrition and physical activity.
Civil society organisations
Aim: Create, advocate, and develop sustainable policies and actions that ensure healthy food, nutrition and physical activity for all.
Government
Aim: Use legislation, pricing, and other policies at all levels of government to promote healthy patterns of diet and physical activity.
Industry
Aim: Emphasise the priority given to public health including cancer prevention in strategic planning and action.
Media
Aim: Sustain increased coverage of public health and well-being and prevention of obesity and chronic diseases including cancer.
Schools
Aim: Make food systems, food, nutrition, and regular physical activity essential parts of school life and learning.
Workplaces and institutions
Aim: Institute and implement policies that promote physical activity, and healthy meals and body weight.
Health and other professionals
Aim: Conduct professional practice to realise the potential for promoting health including cancer prevention.
People
Aim: Act as members of households and communities and as citizens, not just as customers and consumers, in achieving healthy ways of life.
